Madrid-Barajas Airport (MAD) Transfers
The airport is about 15–20 km from the city centre. The drive to Puerta del Sol usually takes 20 to 40 minutes, depending on traffic.
We serve every terminal: T1, T2, T3, T4 and the T4S satellite. T1, T2 and T3 are linked by walkways, while T4 and T4S are separate from them.
Landing at T4S? T4S has no exit of its own. You take the automated train to T4, clear passport control, collect your bags and leave through T4, so your chauffeur meets you at T4. Your exact meeting point and your chauffeur’s contact details are in your confirmation email.
We provide:
- Airport to hotel, apartment and office transfers across Madrid
- Station transfers to Atocha and Chamartín
- IFEMA and trade fair transfers
- Day trips and private transfers to Toledo, Segovia and Ávila
- Transfers to the airport for your departure

Madrid Airport to the City Centre: Your Options
| Option | Typical time | Good to know |
|---|---|---|
| Black Drive private transfer | 20–40 min | Fixed price, meet & greet, vehicle sized to your group |
| Official taxi | 25–40 min | Fixed €33 fare to or from anywhere inside the M-30 |
| Metro Line 8 + Line 1 | ~40 min | About €4.50–5.00, including the airport supplement |
| Cercanías C-1 train | ~25 min | €2.60, from Terminal 4 only, every 30 minutes |
| Express bus 203 | ~40 min | €5.00, runs 24 hours |
When a private transfer is the better choice:
- Groups or lots of luggage. Taxis that carry 7–8 passengers are limited, and child seats aren’t guaranteed.
- Destinations outside the M-30. The taxi fixed fare no longer applies, and the meter takes over.
- Late or tired arrivals. Your chauffeur is waiting for you, so there are no queues and no navigating the airport.

Madrid Airport to Santiago Bernabéu Stadium (Real Madrid)
The Santiago Bernabéu, home of Real Madrid, is at Avenida de Concha Espina 1 in the Chamartín district, on Paseo de la Castellana. It’s about 12–16 km from Madrid-Barajas, and the drive usually takes 20 to 35 minutes.
Black Drive provides private transfers for:
- Stadium tour and museum visits. The tour takes about 1 to 1.5 hours.
- Match days, concerts and events at the stadium.
- Football groups, school teams and corporate parties. Our Sprinters and coaches keep the group together with its luggage.
- Hotel to stadium and stadium to airport rides.
Why a private transfer works well for the Bernabéu:
- Match-day crowds. The metro platforms can be very crowded in the two hours before kick-off, and match days bring heavy security and street closures, so arriving early is advised.
- Metro works. Part of Metro Line 10, which serves the stadium, was due to be closed for works in 2026. Check the current status before you travel.
- Parking is limited. The stadium car park has about 1,000 spaces and fills hours before kick-off on match days.
- Luggage and groups. Arrive straight from the airport with your bags, without changing metro lines.
- Taxi fare for comparison. The stadium is inside the M-30, so the official fixed €33 taxi fare applies from the airport. A taxi works for one or two people. A private transfer suits larger groups and anyone who wants a confirmed vehicle and a chauffeur waiting at arrivals.
Good to know: Tours often pause or close around match days, concerts and events. Check the official calendar before you plan your day.
Black Drive is an independent transport provider and is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by Real Madrid C.F. or the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium. Real Madrid and Santiago Bernabéu are names of their respective owners.
