Baku Airport Transfer: What to Expect at GYD

Heydar Aliyev International Airport is about 20 to 25 km northeast of central Baku. The drive takes around 25 to 40 minutes, depending on traffic and where you’re staying.

A driver waiting, not a queue. When you leave the arrivals hall, you’ll often be approached by unofficial drivers offering a taxi. Official airport taxis don’t publish a fixed fare, so the price is agreed at the curb. With a pre-booked Baku airport transfer, your chauffeur waits in the arrivals hall with a name board, and your fixed price is confirmed before you fly.

Immigration takes time. Depending on your nationality and visa, passport control can take 15 to 30 minutes or more. We track your flight and adjust your pickup to when you actually reach arrivals, with no extra charge for delays.

Shahdag and Gabalaare the most popular trips, for skiing in winter and mountain resorts in summer. A luxury SUV suits these routes, especially between December and March.

Sheki is the longest route, with its historic Khan’s Palace and caravanserais. Most travellers stay overnight rather than making it a day trip. We plan longer journeys with rest stops and confirm the price before you travel.
